Six months ago I opted to save money with Esurance and dropped Geico. I set up automatic payments after my initial six month payment for coverage. I figured, like Geico, theyd be debited monthly. Um, not so much. My account was $250 overdrawn with six transactions pending. If insurance cleared first I could have had over $100 in overdraft fees. Frantic calls to family who were trying to figure out how to remotely get me a check were overheard by a little girl in the neighborhood. In the midst of a call, Miss Teresa, how much money do you need? My Mom said we can help. Crisis averted. Money from my savings transfer will enable me to pay her back Wednesday. There are good, good people out there. I am going to miss this neighborhood.
