Six years ago today, I thought I knew what true love meant and married the love of my life. I had no clue what it really meant to love someone, I thought it was Happily Ever After. Love is an action, love is hard work, love is going through the bottom of a pit and knowing that when you come back out of that pit, it was all worth it and the person you went through that pit with is still there by your side, still holding you tight so the world cant hurt you anymore, still saying how beautiful you look with the dirt, mud, grit and grime from the pit all over your face and still by your side saying they would do it all over again as long as you were by their side. AND being that person for the other one in the pit as well. Love goes both ways and is HARD work but is worth every ounce of sweat, tears and blood if your willing to put it all in and see what miracles God has in store. You will come out purified through the fire, stronger and more beautiful than you could have been on your own. Needless to say, 6 years ago, I had no clue what I was making a commitment to. But today, as I stand beside the love of my life, its not Happily Ever After, it has been an adventure and I would not trade it for all the gold in the world. God has truly worked a miracle in my life and showed me what True Love is. I am stronger, more beautiful, more dedicated, and more in love than I was 6 years ago by myself. Two have truly become one and I hope everyone has the opportunity to know True Love like I have found. It is not Happily Ever After, but if you follow His will and plan for your life, you will know True Love in a way you would never expect or hope to know. I love you Ryan McTee! Cant wait to see what pits the next 6 years bring!
