Slain militants mission wasto target Yatri’s CNS:Army Friday claimed thatfive militants killed in Preng encounter were in Valley with a mission to target Amarnath pilgrims. General Officer Commading, Victor Force,R.Nimborkar after the encounter told reporters that the five Hizb slain militants had received directions from their bosses across the boarderto target Amarnath Yatris. “They could not succeed in their mission as we had deployed fool proof security for the safety of the pilgrims,” hesaid. Nimborkar said that thesemilitants were active in Valley from September 2012 and their only mission was to disrupt theAmarnath Yatra. “Militants lack the supportof local people here and itis the basic reason that they prefer to live in forest areas than to mix with local population,” hesaid.
