Sleep disordered? Sleep deprived? Night time exposure to the blue light emitted from our electronic devices (phones, computers television) disrupts the production of melatonin, which is secreted by the pineal gland. In fact, ALL artificial light has a part in this. They say perhaps you should shut your devices down about an hour before you go to sleep. Researchers also suggest using yellow light bulbs, and amber lensed glasses. Personally, fluorescent lighting actually causes headaches. Ive been known to wear my sunglasses in the store. Sun gazing in the evenings can help as well, but you have to research how to do it properly ((DO NOT go stare at the sun and burn holes in your eyeballs and tell em Gobsmacker said to do it. Theres a proper way, and time of day.)) I have often wondered if the suppression of our pineal glands is deliberate, because if everyone could fully access that one little thing in the middle of our brain, right where many imagine the third eye to be, then maybe we could end all the wars by simply joining in one collective deliberate thought to make it so. Either way, it is possible to reset your bodys circadian rhythm and take control of your sleep process. chriskresser/how-artificial-light-is-wrecking-your-sleep-and-what-to-do-about-it
