Sleepless nights, behavioural problems, learning difficulties, development delay, speech problems, limited interest in food, along with an increase in Autism, ADD, ADHD, Aspergers Diagnosis are increasingly having an effect on the lives on many children and their families. Check out the latest on demand Destination Well Being to hear local parent Kelly Watson speak on how integrating a holistic approach has helped her son Alex who has an Autism Diagnosis. Kelly is also one of the speakers at Newrys First Childrens Well Being Seminar (see below for more info) vadio.ie/destinationwellbeing/kelly-watson-20th-may-2014 Holistic Therapist & Relax Kids Coach Joanne Callan of Try The Alternative found that parents were getting in touch to see if there was anything that she could do or suggest that might help their children using a Holistic approach and knowledge that she has gained over many years, she was able to offer solutions and information to parents that made a real difference. Along with one of the parents Michelle McKeever they decided that many more children could benefit and so the Children’s Well Being Seminar was arranged, to be held in Newry Conference and Banqueting Center on Wednesday 4th June. The speakers include therapists, and parents who will share their own personal stories of how a holistic approach has made a difference to their child & family. The speakers and topics to be covered are Phelim O Neill - Child Brain Development, Joanne Callan, Reflexology & Relaxation, Michelle Mc Keever – Parent, Kelly Watson –Parent. Caroline Richman – Homeopath, Sinead Mc Garrigle – Craniosacral Therapist. Juanita Duke – Equine Assisted Learning, Miriam Woods – Nutritional Therapist. It is our hope that the evening will give parents information on practices that they can introduce into their daily lives, along with therapies that may be of benefit. Each child is unique and different and the approach that each child needs will also be unique and different but our is aim is to share knowledge and empower parents to help their child to fulfil their true potential.
