Sleep—Snoring Q: I snore. It bothers my wife. What can I do before she divorces me? A. Two things come immediately to mind….. First, your adrenal glands govern all inflammatory processes in the body, plus govern your sinuses. Feed/support your adrenals daily. They take the brunt of all forms of stress: dietary, emotional, environmental, physical, etc. Most Americans will have over-taxed, under-supported adrenals….and thus the sinuses will be swollen at bedtime, and snoring a common occurrence. Second thing that comes to mind, get the cow dairy out of your diet. This is the single most inflammatory food we consume as Americans. The casein (protein) and lactose (sugar) can’t be well-digested, and thus inflammation runs rampant in the system, including the sinuses, intestinal track, etc. How common is it for the typical American to have a bowl of ice cream before bed? Way typical. Summary: support adrenals, avoid cow dairy products Goat, soy, almond, coconut and rice milk….these and other non-dairy products all test well via muscle response testing (a form of bio-feedback available to my clients when they come in for an office visit). Oh, and it is true that some cow dairy products do test OK and won’t cause inflammation: plain yogurt (add nothing), plain kefir, and organic butter all do test OK. As for daily adrenal support: lets do a phone consultation and talk about it. If your’s are indeed over-taxed and under-supported, there will be additional things in your system out of balance. So if youre interested in some personalized help from me, do send me a Personal Message here on FB and let me know. I can put you on my calendar for either an office visit or a phone consultation.
