Slick is responding to Lasix therapy to reduce fluid in the lungs. Not out of the woods but at least a step back from the edge. I couldnt stay long. Since he is on oxygen therapy, I could only reach him through a port hole. Unfortunately, he wanted to stick his head out of the port hole which defeats the purpose of being in there in the first place. But when I closed the port hole, he got very upset and agitated. He did eat a few bites of scrambled egg and some gerber chicken. Since, he is responding to treatment, they are leaning towards a diagnosis of CHF. They will do another blood test at 5 PM. This will tell us if his Kidneys will tolerate lasix.
