Mao , Al quaeda , Che Guevarra , Nkrumah are following a common logic. The question no one seems to ask is can the imperialistic system which currently retains nuclear and space infrastructure trajectories be disenfranchised and still maintain the promise of moving mankind into the stars ? It sounds fatuous but it is a serious issue of strategy. 41 mins · Like Kofi Nyaako James, I note your concerns. Yes imperialism can be disenfranchised. We outside the perimeters of western and eastern Military Industrial Complex - the Non-Aligned 99.9% of the world population - can nullify the apparent overkill power of west/east Military Industrial Complex in many subtler ways than direct armed conflict. We can adopt a combination of peaceful and combative strategies. But we must first understand that war is not the answer. The central battlefield today is an accurate, coordinated political campaign in the arena of: GM foods; protection of our entire environment from wanton corporate exploitation; cautionary development along the lines of sustainability rather than sheer material expansionism; prudent investment in cultural and social development rather than the current neocon economic diktats of the IMF-World Bank, of fiscal, market, greed dependent globalisation served by the wests Breton Woods system. It is easier to bomb people than force them to eat food they dont want; or prevent them from seeking education; or depopulating them through Ibola or HIV!! 10 mins · Edited · Like Kofi Nyaako The extremely expensive preoccupation with the space race by the west and east, is not the answer. It will have the same polluting devastation as the so-called industrial revolution has caused warming. Modernisation has its dangerous soft underbelly. We ignore it at our peril. The questions the mad capitalists and world control freaks must ask themselves are: how many freak hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes and nuclear accidents have we had so far? What impact will any major combination of such devastations have on all of us on earthy and outer space?
