Small Business Saturday Artisan#11 Jewelry by Daoud Jewelry by Da’oud is designed and manufactured by Da’oud Thompson. A jeweler and sculptor for twenty-five years with a background of stone carving, he embraced the technique of Lost Wax Casting to create finely detailed works of art. Wax is carved intricately, surrounded with plaster investment and burned out. The result is then injected with gold and silver to create the jewelry piece. Stone settings are made from design elements such as tendrils of vines or celtic knots to embrace the stone. Additionally, he makes finger rings, bracelets, pins, pendants, ear cuffs, and beaded necklaces for pendants.
