Small town life in Dixon Illinois… Funny how memories can lie dormant for so long and then all of the sudden something like an old photo or an old friend can conjure up those memories. Right now I am thinking baseball when we played Al Morrison League ball.. A time when friends and neighbors drove to Bordens field watch us play our game and of course being in a small town all of the moms would be snapping beans while watching us play ball… This was the norm for a small farming town it would change from beans to shelling peas or lima beans… Funny how those memories come back after so many years. If you grew up in the 70s or 80s you might remember it… I can think of so many small town things of the past I am sure that these things still happen but rarely seen. Just want to say thanks Dixon for another good memory…
