Smart Vision Labs January 7 at 9:12am My name is Marc Albanese and I am a co-founder of Smart Vision Labs (smartvisionlabs). I had the good fortune of meeting many of you in Denver this past November. But for those who are not familiar, we are the company behind the new SVOne - our accurate and ultraportable smartphone-based autorefractor. First and foremost our entire team would like to thank all of you who do the incredible work through VOSH. It has been great working with you, and we look forward to building on this fantastic collaborative relationship for years to come. In particular we have to thank Dave McPhillips for his leadership, initiative, and support. In August, we were honored to join Dave and the VOSH PA team in Haiti. The trip was a defining moment for our company. It was personally rewarding because I was able to contribute to a team that helped hundreds of people receive vision care. Moreover, Smart Vision Labs was able to show that the SVOne provides accurate and reliable results. We are also so grateful to Tracy Matchinski and VOSH Illinois for her hospitality during the Oaxaca trip in November. We learned a great deal that we are applying to our work in 2015. This month we are looking forward to once again working with VOSH PA in Haiti, VOSH Nebraska in the Dominican Republic, and VOSH Illinois in Guatemala. These will be great opportunities for us to continue to increase our impact and learn.
