Snakes found in East Ham, east London has residents rattled On Sunday 13th July 2014 some residents of Shrewsbury Road, East Ham called the police because they found large snakes lurking in the bushes of their gardens. The two neighbouring houses who’s residents called the police both share garden walls with Plashet Park, a park in East Ham. Four snakes were found on Sunday and another six were found the following day bringing the total to ten snakes, based on local reports. There are unconfirmed reports the police used a helicopter to use infrared mapping to find the snakes. It is unclear as to how the snakes got to residing in East Ham with the most likely case being they were mistakenly or intentionally let loose by a local resident. The Metropolitan Police are yet to make any formal announcement, but the YouTube video below shows when two of the snakes were captured in Plashet Park, East Ham.
