Snatch theft and incompetent police. At around 8.30 today outside McDonalds Bangsar at Jalan Telawi, an Indian lady had her bag snatched by a man and woman on a motorcycle. She fell to the ground. We were on the way to a friends open house when the lady approached us for help, asking where the nearest station is. She had no facebook account and had no phone. She was bleeding slightly and she is also pregnant. According to her, she approached two policemen who were in baju melayu at the bangsar booth. They were getting ready to go for dinner and were off duty. They told her to file a report at the Pantai station which was 2km away, 29 minutes walk according to our gps estimate. They did not offer her a ride even though they had motorcycles. Our friend helped drive her there instead. With the ladys current situation, its amazing how our police could be this dismissive. Maybe because she seemed so calm about it and wasnt screaming, but still, what the hell Bangsar Police!? Submitted by: Sidney Chan
