Sneaky sneaky, Facebook... Just shared link posts from two pages, one of which Im an admin on and one Im not. Neither post showed that I shared it from a different page on my timeline. And, for the page I am an admin on, my share didnt even show up as a share on the post for that page. What does this mean? Its limiting how pages are promoted on Facebook -- shares used to be free advertising not just for the outside content shared but for the pages that originally posted the links. But Facebook is trying to figure out more ways to narrow the free impressions of page content for the sake of pushing providers toward promoted posts and advertising. Interesting little adjustment that has a real impact.
