Sniping? What is good entertainment or what is good for the USA? I don’t think I have ever considered myself much of a thespian or to any great degree an artist. But, like most – I “know it when I see it” and a week or more after I saw the movie American Sniper, I am still processing. Like many of you – I was struck by the raw, unfiltered portrayal that Bradley Cooper gave…. A picture of the personal cost of war that was neither pro or con, just Real. I now have a better glimpse, a more complete hint of what WE have created with many of our Vets. It provided a picture of society and our inability to successfully provide what “Our Best” need to be productive members of a peaceful community. After reflection a few points seem relevant: I believe the Left is actually helping here by raising the dialogue and visibility in creating needed discussion – that is happening. We need a better approach to PTSD as a country and community AND an investment is required – The resources would be well spent The future may well entail more investment for freedom – We need to be ready both for launch and re-entry – we have Not been So, when you hear folks sniping about the show or the far left or all the vitriol that is being spewed … be Thankful that the issues are now on the table.
