Snowdown Colliery Welfare Male Voice Choir ST DAVID’S DAY CONCERT Saturday 1st March 2014 7.30pm Aylesham Community Project Free admission Snowdown Colliery Welfare Male Voice Choir are proud of their strong Welsh connections, which are the result of so many men from Wales coming to work in the newly-opened Snowdown coalmine. As a tribute to that heritage, every year the Choir presents a free concert to mark St David’s Day. This year the concert is able to be performed on the Saint’s Day itself and all the people of Aylesham, together with their family and friends, are invited to come along and enjoy an evening of splendid music. The Choir welcomes new members and any men who would like to ‘give it a go’ can come to the weekly practice night at the Ratling Club, Aylesham, every Monday 7.30pm – 9.30pm. It’s not necessary to read music, many don’t, nor do you have to have a exceptional voice – in a choir you’ll find you are helped along by others AND practice goes a long way to making perfect! Tenor voices are in particularly short supply at present but whether you Sing High or Sing Low you’ll always get a warm welcome.
