So 2 weeks ago Ramsey jammed his foot on a solid wood chair, it immediately turned colors and started to swell so I took him to Terrebonne General. They x-rayed it, told us it was just bruised, wrapped it and sent us home. Ramsey proceeded to tell the Dr that indeed it is actually broken and the Dr. Disagreed. So he kept it wrapped, elevated and used the crutches. Again I brought him to the Er because from the knee down was ice cold. Again more xrays and again told its just bruised. Well 2 weeks later and he still cant put any weight on it, so I made an appt with Dr. Story, Oschner Pediatric orthopedic. We just left and after more xrays we find out he has 3 broken toes and the top of his foot right near the growth plate is broken. My poor lil dude, luckily he refused to put weight, kept it wrapped and treated as broken bc he insisted, he was right. Now as far as these Dr.s at terrebonne general, I guess it doesnt matter how they treat people bc they still get paid. There is really no excuse!!!!
