So... According to Bobbie Sue, It seems that Windermere has no sound systems or lighting for their large auditorium. The NGJ people spent over $15,000 on equipment for there the previous year, I have no idea what exactly they got/bought for that substantial sum of money but that is a downside of Windermere, assuming of course we plan on having speakers and make use of the auditorium. If we do plan on definitely having speakers and Church sessions, I would hope the rental of equipment could be done for cheaper. Take note though, I have not done extensive research yet. On the upside, Windermere has August 24th-30th available on their books (Monday through Sunday) for the whole camp. According to them, the Shindig will require the whole camp to be reserved so for the amount of time we were interested in and for the quantity if people we hope to have it would seem those dates are the most ideal, If there is any compelling reasons why those dates are not ideal, we can get back in contact with Windermere about their additional optional dates. Second off, it seems like Nathan Pearl is looking into hosting one himself, or possibly some regional ones. No final word yet on his plans, I am attempting to get in contact with him to see the extent of his plans, though unless I hear something solid from him about the next Shindig, I will just continue planning for 2015 to the best of my abilities.
