So, Alec Baldwin was riding his bicycle against traffic this week. Police officers stopped him. When he was asked for ID, Baldwin said, I dont have any ID. Just give me the f****ing summons. They cuffed him and arrested him for disorderly conduct. Here are my thoughts: If he was breaking the law, he should have been stopped. (And his comments seem to suggest he agreed. But, arresting the guy just because he was ticked off? Disorderly conduct just because he wasnt bowing and scraping to the local police? It seems to me that cops use disorderly conduct as a catch-all charge anytime they want to exert some authority unnecessarily. Thoughts?
