So, Alice got the hiccups today, and I experienced the first of many emotional flashbacks that will happen in the coming days. A year ago today was my due date. I sat on the couch, huge and full, my legs in a loose lotus position and my hands on my round, hard belly. My stomach jumped every six seconds - Squidget had the hiccups. It went on for three minutes before Squidget started getting uncomfortable and kicking me in the side after every hiccup. Paul took a photo of my lopsided, watermelon belly. I was insanely happy. I felt so at peace I was nearly floating. And I remember thinking, how many more moments like this will there be? Five more days, hindsight Tiffany.
