So Brendon has had a few off days, here, but I am hopeful he will be up and on the move in the morning. Yesterday was Saddle Day and the wind was rather brisk. Being down around the Mississippi River, the woods and the barn, Addie, Brendon and I were all blasted with pollen and dirt. It seemed to send Brendon into what appeared to be hay fever and lung distress. I got him home and had him immediately take a warm bath including a really good hair washing! He used his inhaler and took benadryl, along with a saline rinse. Then I changed his sheets on his bed. I am a little taken aback by the fact we continue to be dealing with the lingering effects of the pneumonia he suffered early last month. I dont know why because I have asthma and have had pneumonia. This season with pollen has been exceptionally difficult on my own breathing. It is just hard for me to think of Brendon having to endure yet something else in regards to his health. He was sent to the nurses office for an attack at school this morning. He used his inhaler and the nurse gave him plenty of fluids. When I picked him up at the end of the day he was flushed and stated he just wanted to go home and go to bed. Also, a week and a half ago he endured a migraine. He has been blasted, so to speak, in regards to these ailments. I think I have a plan to set forth for figuring all of this out. It shouldnt be any surprise to me, except for the fact that he seems to be pretty young in dealing with all of this. Please keep my guy in your prayers and me so I can keep a clear head about all of this as I try to sort through it all and come up with some options besides just medicating him!
