So, Chuck Schuldiner died 13 years ago today, and speaking of Death, I have to tell this story. So, I introduce a friend of mine to Death, and he says they sucked. I tell him that they basically invented Death metal, and he says that he hates death metal. Guess what he listens to? Despised Icon. I dont care that said friend doesnt like death metal, but Chuck didnt just have a massive influence on death metal, he had a massive influence on other styles of metal (e.g. melodic death metal, progressive metal, metalcore, deathcore), but oh yea, kids dont like respecting music that influenced their favorite music, at least from my encounters. -LXR
