So I after I had a chance to sleep off some steam, I felt that it was appropriate for me to give a part two to my commentary last night. I Still stand by it (play by play lol), BUT this was an incredible experience!!! I tip my hat to the coaches and the team. They played their butts off this entire season. They went to STATE...OMG! And these past few weeks have been nothing short of stellar. The fact that we got to witness OUR team make history in the DOME is unreal and way beyond exciting. Yes we were SOOOO close, but we are still winners. Also the game last night was better than any alumni class reunion any of us could EVER try to pull off. EVERYONE came out to show love and support...shoutout to Doug, Harper, Therrell, THE CITY OF ATL and other schools/people that showed so much love. And I must say that growing up in the SWATS has been the BEST experience of my life. I have had the opportunity to rub elbows, party, share meals, work with, and take trips with some of the biggest stars in the world..however my friends that I grew up with, our classmates and teachers are the brightest of the brightest stars and I would NEVER trade that. People in other cities dont understand how I still hang and keep in touch with my friends that I grew up with. And some of us only see one another from time to time, but the love is still pure and genuine when we do see each other. We have to hold that upbringing and real sense of community in high regard. So stand tall Raiders, we are the shit! And seeing Coach Cox made my YEAR! Glad to see him doing well. Also, I continue to pray for Coach Mac and Luther W. Dixon! Being a part of the Raider football team all four years while at Mays instilled a sense of pride and discipline that I cannot explain. Thank you Mays for laying the groundwork and foundation for my life and career. one love....Das
