So I am driving out of town to a job today, 80 miles north. I am doing about 90, and pass a guy in a red car. He speeds up and stays almost behind me, then my radar detector goes off. I hit the brakes at about 85, as the cop came over the hill. I saw his brake lights in the rearview, so pulled over off the road, turned off the radio, rolled down the window, turned off the truck, and waited with my hands folded on the door sill. The red car guy went by, about to the top of the hill, and pulled in a driveway. The cop flashed his lights for a sec as he pulled in behind me, and the red car guy got out and watched us as he sort of slowly walked to the door of the house. The cop came up and said are you with that guy?, pointing to the red car guy. No, I passed him a ways back, I replied. Okay. He knows I got him, hes driving on suspended. Slow it down, you can go. The moral: Be nice to cops, and if you get caught, have a worse offender nearby. :)
