So, I am going through a lot of things and last night I find my Aunt Vis Bible. As I am not one for spooky oo-key coincidences, the timing of this happening, well, this has given me pause. So I picked up her Bible and a piece of paper slipped out with the headline of Words to live by written in my aunt Vis handwriting, and I had to read it. What it said, and now in the timing of everything that is going on, makes me feel that I once again have my person to turn to when things are really rough--and I know I am not the only one, and I think this is too good to keep to myself Im going to share it for those who might be dealing with the same issues, so from my Aunt Vi: You are judged by the company that you keep--not just because you know them--but because you will become just like them by your tolerance of their actions of deceit and negativity. As we know, what we do, and how we behave, speaks louder than any words that we can scream from the hilltops in regards to who we really are as a person. Who we are when we think that we are completely alone and no one is watching, that is who you are as a person. The problem then becomes, how do we match our internal selves with the external shell? How do we let the world know who we are? We do this by our actions and because we know what is the right thing to do at all times--not what we want to be the right thing, but what IS the right thing. It will always be your actions in what you do that communicates everything--because people are always watching and making note in regards to how we treat an individual, how difficult or easy we make their life, how honest we are, how fair we are, and how kind we are, how we hold our anger, how silent we are when injustice is done, how much pain we tolerate on someone else because it is not us, and most importantly, the one action that is the key to this life: how much we can love someone else, greater then how we love ourselves, in the example of how much Jesus loves us? Underneath this she wrote, I will try. To anyone who met her and was a recipient of her actions: she succeeded. I miss and Love her so much.
