So I boiled a pound of rotini, and in a smaller pot on med low, I heated about a cup of cream with a stick of salted butter, then added 8 oz of sour cream, stirred it in, then added a pile (3/4 c?) of shredded parmesan, and stirred and stirred with a small whisk until it melted, and threw in 7 oz of buittoni pesto. Drained the rotini (getting a bunch on the floor, 5 second rule), returned it to the pot, threw the sauce on it it, stirred, and am waiting for it to thicken and marry, stirring during commercials.
