So I dont usually do public posts very often here on Facebook, but I really need your help and I want as many people to see this as possible. Three years ago, at around this time actually, I set up a website with information about my books and other creative projects. I was eager to share that new site with everyone I knew on FB, so I decided to post a link to it. Unfortunately, FB would not let me post the link. I got the following message: The content youre trying to share includes a link that our security systems detected to be unsafe. [my site link here, which I am unable to even post, grrrrr] Please remove this link to continue. If you think youre seeing this by mistake, please let us know. I did let them know. I told them that this was my personal website and that it was NOT spammy or unsafe in any way. In fact, that was the very first time Id ever tried posting a link to my site on FB. Then I tried posting the link again a few months later, hoping it had been fixed. Nope, same message. Fast forward to November 2014, and guess what? No matter how many times I contact FB to let them know that my site is NOT a spammy site (Im on a relatively regular schedule of writing to them to unblock my site about every few months), I am STILL unable to post a link to my site here on FB. I have run my site through many checks to see if its safe, and it has come out as clean as a whistle. So I have NO CLUE what is going on FBs end with this. As you can imagine, this has been a VERY FRUSTRATING ordeal. This is the site that I want people to visit to find out more about my books, since I am trying to get my writing career off the ground, and as much as I hate FB and avoid it for a myriad of reasons that I wont post here, millions of people still use it everyday. If I cant post a link on a major social media site, many people will be turned away from visiting my site and finding out more about me and my books. And thats not good for a fledgling indie author like me. So here is my website: www . cecilee . net And here is what you can do to help me: Try and post a link to my site (take out the spaces in what I put above; I cant post actual links, hence the spaces). You will get the same message I did. Click the please let us know link and let Facebook know that my site is NOT spam. Maybe we can make a difference and push them into taking my site off their blacklist. You never know. Squeaky wheel usually gets the grease, right? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
