So I figured out from typing in what I was watching that Alan Partridge is a Steve Coogan character, apparently! Must Google more. The movie Alan Partridge from which I just returned from an advance screening (opens Friday at The Mayan Theater in Denver) is a semi-dark British comedy also starring Colm Meaney. It is about a standoff in a radio station that has just fired one of its aging DJs as they transition to a new format. There are not only funny one-liners from Coogan and the rest of the cast, but some terrific physical comedy, one scene in which I laughed til I cried! If you like British humor (humour) and comedy with a deadpan twist to it, you will like this. Definitely worth a matinee screening if you are into such things!
