So I followed the 24 hour rule (for the most part) to calm down before I explained my frustrations. On the surface this may seem like no big deal to most. Really? Thats it? Come on grow up. But if you take a minute and think a little deeper to examine my concerns then maybe you will see the validity. This is the beginning of my 4th year on the board. In the first 3 years I have never been president nor Vice President. No big deal. Im not about titles. But after seeing the behind the scenes manipulation, power struggles, and the loss of our focal point (THE KIDS) I realized it is a big deal. The president and vp actually have some over reaching power in partnership with the superintendent of course. They can decide on what or who gets investigated, who gets to speak before the board, how long they get, etc. if youre a good ole boy and a chosen one you pretty much have whatever you want job description mentality and youre protected. THE UNTOUCHABLES. NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU SUCK. If youre in the doghouse then you have to worry about your mortgage, family, and stability. And most of the time these are your best of the best. Ahhh!! Now people are saying I know what hes talking about. Or who Im referring to. Many will read this and say hes talking about me. It will resonate. I realize the golden boy theme happens everywhere, corporate America, politics, clubs, etc. I dont care about those worlds because the prize of the commodity here has 5400 high price stakes. And another 600 plus in tireless, unselfish, fighting the rat race employees. Back to the point. This year I expressed interest in vp. And I was honored to be nominated. Thank you Kenny!! And one person consistently states it doesnt matter to me. I really dont care who does the vp. But then flip flops and votes for themselves. So now we have the same president and Vice President as last year. Monarchy to me. Humble yourselves and realize its not about title and try something new. So why shady? The cover ups, the protection, the waste, the lies, the manipulation. It has to stop. I will let the examples lie unless someone wants to challenge me and they say this doesnt happen that way. The important things that get 5 minutes of our time to the frivolous, are you kidding me, what are you thinking, arrogant, poor me problems that become a top priority. With me it is what it is. If I dont like you, you certainly know it. But you will still get the same respect, same fair shake, and an UNBIASED opinion. Im not always right but Im not always wrong either.
