So I get this questionnaire in the mail that I must fill out to be considered as a juror for federal court. It warns me that failing to comply is punishable by a $1,000 fine or 3 days in jail, or both, and it must be returned within 10 days. Well, thats rude! So I figure I better comply. I go online to get this over with. It says it takes 10 minutes. OK. I must put in the participate #, first 3 letters of my last name and my birthdate to begin the process. I follow instructions exactly. It tells me something doesnt match. I do it again 4 times and keep rechecking myself. Everything friggen matches! But, it says no. So, I decide to fill it out and mail it. But, what? It says I may not use a pen. It must be filled out with a #2 pencil. WTH? I cant remember the last time Ive owned a pencil. What the hell would I need a pencil for? I stop off at the store. They sell them in packs of 10. What the hell am I going to do with 10 pencils!! I only need one. And then I have to buy a sharpener too! Im wondering if theres any 5 year olds I can steal a pencil from. So, I come home and remember that Ive got plenty of art supplies which includes colored pencils. I dont know if they are #2s, but they have nice names like Green Grass and Indigo Blue and Sienna. Ive decided to use Scarlett Red. Maybe Ill do a little creative art work too. Its just annoying and Im not even qualified because I just went to jury duty a couple months ago and supposed to be exempt for 3 years.
