So I got two tags from Moyukh Mahtab and Tanjila Mazumder Drishti on the very same day and no I wont name twenty books, thats just absurd, but here goes my very favorite of all time ordered according to the intensity of the crush I had on the male protagonists of the story. Also I nominate nobody. a) Gone with the Wind - Margaret Mitchell. Who doesnt love Rhett Butler? b) The Thorn Birds - Colleen Mccullough. A Catholic priest who does the naughty? Absolutely. c) Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte. Mr Rochester. So damaged. So angsty. so attractive to his pathetic female fanbase. . d) A Tale of Two Cities - Charles Dickens. A guy facing the guillotine for his love? This has to be the best. e) David Copperfield - Charles Dickens. I was ten years old. He was ten years old too okay? And just a really really sad child. Now stop judging me. f) Shesher Kobita - Rabindranath Tagore. Classic tragic angsty romance. *dies* g) Kartography - Kamila Shamsie. Love in the time of 1971 beautifully expressed through rhetoric? owkay so Penguin classics are not the only things I read. The following is a list of books with female protagonists who had cooler lives than mine and who I wanted to swap lives with. h) I,Phoolan Devi - the autobiography of Indias Bandit Queen i) Matilda - Roald Dahl j) London Pride - Mary Elizabeth Braddon a rather obscure paperback, about times during teh holocaust, but it ended up being a gem I always treasured. k) Hangor Nodi Grenade - Selina Hossain. Moms are the best and we love them
