So, I had the incredible luck to day to walking past The Twelve Tellers, the Wetherspoons which was once the TSB on Church Street with my friend. We had in mind an after work pint at the recently refurbished Conservative Club, no known as Hogarths. Nice young lady outside the TSB cought our attention gave a friend and I a voucher for a free drink each, if we promised to give feedback. So my friend and I were sat in the really nicely appointed pub with a Guinness for him and a pint of Brewdog for me, trying to believe our luck. The place has been really tidily fitted out with chandeliers, wooden paneling, beautiful toilets in the vaulted basement and all sorts of side rooms, chairs upholstered with distressed leather, open fires and some pretty enthusiastic staff. There were even people out in the back in the beer garden. Finally I found that there were food vouchers so I bummed one off the junior manager (she seemed very young) and another drinks voucher for my pal (he had tea awaiting him at home). So I got another pint of Brewdog, A Guinness for ma and a very tasty 8oz Rump Steak, chips peas mushroom and half a tomato.... all for free. [photo from Blog Preston]
