So I had the misfortune of having a big chargeback of $450 against - TopicsExpress

So I had the misfortune of having a big chargeback of $450 against me placed by someone named Jennifer Wyatt, after I delivered exactly what she ordered, she charged back the amount using the excuse of Unauthorized purchase which was bullshit as she had placed the ad on my website and even filled out all the forms. Paypal withdrew the funds pending the outcome of my dispute against the chargeback. I sent her a very nice email asking why she had charged back and if there was something we could do to resolve the matter as a loss of even $450 is a tough thing to handle in a fledgling business. No reply whatsoever. Initially I wasnt even going to fight it because after I called Paypal about it they told me it was almost pointless to dispute it as the card companies tend to always side with the buyers and not vendors when they chargeback. Normally, its easy to win a paypal dispute when selling non tangible or electronic goods such as targetted website visitors, most scammers know this which is why many people get scammed when the shoe is on the other foot but not a chargeback as these are done at the credit card level. In almost 100% of the cases its tough titty if its a chargeback done at the card level as you will lose the money even if you have all the evidence that the purchase as legit. However I got some fantastic news today that the chargeback dispute fell to my favour and I got my money back. To Jennifer Wyatt, wherever you are in the world, eat shit. Next time dont be so hasty to try and scam hard working folk out of their money. oh and have a nice day :)
