So I have a religious question for anyone who might give some insights. We find ourselves in a garden with a man, a woman and a snake......And somehow the snake, assuming it was a snake and not a salamander, or the Geiko lizard, "hands" Eve the apple of temptation, which Adam consumes, even after God has warned him death awaited him if he ate the forbidden fruit. So must not God have done more explaining to Adam what death was? Adam had never seen a corpse before, if what I read is true. Genesis states that this lush paradise where there only existed peace and perfection, no sickness, no death.... So why would God create a reptile that was capable and willing to use deceit and temptation as a weapon to throw an entire race into a perpetual state of incremental mortal failure. In short, why did God create both the snake and the apple....When we must deal with problems, we instinctively resist trying the way that leads through obscurity and darkness. We wish to hear only of unequivocal results, and completely forget that these results can only be brought about when we have ventured into and emerged again from the darkness. But to penetrate the darkness we must summon all the powers of enlightenment that consciousness can offer. So in short, does anyone know why God invented both this reptile capable of such duplicity and an apple that had the effect of angering our Creator to subject all future generations to a decay model?
