So, I have been trying to find local sources for more of our food, one of which is our dairy needs. (We dont have the land yet to produce dairy, meat, or eggs ourselves). I am finding that the pricing is so high direct from the farmer, that is is cheaper by up to 50% (depending on the product) buying organic at my local Earth Fare. Has anyone else run into this? Any clue as to why it is so high considering I am getting prices from the farm itself? Feeling a little let down that I cant support local like I want to because it isnt financially feasible :-/
