So I hear students at my alma mater are protesting a band that is coming to campus because they support gay marriage. Universities are places where intellectual curiosity and stances are to be made so let me make this stand. When the mostly anglo saxon campus community at Creighton University begans to walk out for the poor children in North Omaha, the homeless people that surround the campus, fair wages for the maintenance, custodial, and food services staff, more financial aid for students who struggle to attend the university, and when you walk out of classes because the university like many Jesuit universities of its kind fail to uphold the Jesuit mission to which the stand....then I will care. Thank you!
