So, I know this is a little late, but I would just like to publicly thank everyone who supported me on my pageant journey! I was literally overwhelmed by the support -- especially from the student body. There were times I could not speak because of all the cheering & chanting my little voice could not compete with. 😄 I am glad that I was able to inspire & make many of you proud. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. Im not the best at keeping up with social media 😛, but I was really moved to update my status after someone told me that I lit their candle. I would like to encourage her and everyone else to continue the candle lighting! Dont hide your light under a bushel -- even if you have made mistakes in your past and feel others may ridicule you for standing up for purity of mind, heart, & body. You have the power to free others! This pageant journey was an invaluable experience that I will never forget! Ive learned a lot about myself that I would not have if I was not under that type of spotlight. To God be the glory! Thank you Oakwood University for making the opportunity available! And a big congratulations to Ms. Oakwood, Nia Johnson & Mr. Oakwood Jordan Michael Harris! Both of you have an awesome vision for our school & I will be praying for success throughout your reign! ♥︎
