So I pull up at a gas pump a couple of days ago and just happened to know the people at the pump in front of me. As Im going in to pay they tell me to hold on that they had paid for their gas and their tank was full that I could have the rest of what they paid for. Come to find our the pump was set wrong and was pumping gas at $0.29 per gallon. I took them up on their offer and got more than my share of gas. Actually more than I intended to purchase. As much as I appreciate the gesture that was presented to me... the more I thought about it the more I felt like I was as good as a theif. So today I go into that gas station again and tell them about their error the other day and give them the money for the gas I had taken. They were very grateful! Just bc a small business seems to be doing well does not mean I have the right to take from them. I have seen first hand working in a small business how real the struggle is at times. I feel like my conscience has been cleared of this and thought Id share. Hope you all have a wonderful night.
