So... I rarely read about the stars - movie variety that is. But today I saw that Kathleen Turner, fat from arthritis medication said, I never valued myself for beauty - its suffocating. Jon Hamm of Madman said, I am not curing cancer or anything important. The best thing I could probably do is be the dad that tells Bieber NO! George Clooney is marrying an Oxford educated lawyer primarily because of her intense work against injustice. And comedian Louis C.K. said he tries all his jokes out on his girls to see if they are OK. Made me think. Nice. What if all honored people gave of their honor in that way? Heres what. God has a meta-economic system that works like this: From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked (Lk 12:48). If you do the math you will see that if all the rich individually dedicated some of their lives to targeting their money efficiently to address social ills every problem would be solved - at least financially. It is not just money - honor and fame are a commodity to be spent well: The members of the body which we deem less honorable, on these we bestow more abundant honor, and so they become more honorable. God has so composed the body, giving more abundant honor to that member which lacked (1 Cor 12:23ff). Live in harmony with each other. Dont be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people (Rom 12:16). If everyone with abundance of some sort (money, fame, time, land, you name it) took a minute to recognize Gods demands and requests on them and obeyed, every ill in the world would be met, every problem resourced. Every person has enough abundance of something to give. If I dont horde. There is enough to satisfy every need. Enough.
