So, I received a sad phone call on Saturday night. The owner of the Daycare that Jada and Jordan attended their whole lives is closing down. We have a beautiful memorial library that we dedicated to the kids at the daycare, and memorial benches and trees and bushes that were put in the playground where my children spent every afternoon after school. I was asked if I wanted the trees and benches and books....and OF COURSE I did! So Curt coordinated a huge effort and we went to the school on Sunday to retrieve all of these things. It took the help of so many wonderful people: Curt, his son Matt, his dad Joe, Miss Tole Nicole (the kids favorite teacher and babysitter), and her dad Michael. They hacksawed the benches, dug out 300 lb magnolia trees, multiple butterfly bushes, and many other plants. It took hours, and tons of effort. Then we had to get it all home and figure out where to put everything. I will have pictures soon, but WOW. We will now have our very own J&J memorial garden in our back yard. I feel so blessed. And on a side note....I have literally NEVER MET anyone who has the sheer brute strength that Curt does. and endurance. and mental clarity. and love for me and my children. He coordinated and dug and hauled and planted for 8 straight hours on Sunday. I am the luckiest woman in the world
