So I sadly didnt get to make my speech today, and because of that I am going to post some of it on my Facebook. Everyone that made it but was not able to hear it here it is for my grandpa. I decided not to sugar coat it and kept it somewhat dark. The sun One thing is constant in this life and that is the Earth We know every day the sun will rise We know the moon will fall Every 365 days the Earth rotates around the sun The never ending cycle to this planet as we know it Seasons change from summer to fall We count on the constancy every year Days pass slowly but surely The clock ticks away the time As we never realize how little time we have left. We always say tomorrow this tomorrow that But what if tomorrow never comes? We see loved ones get older with the constant rotation We never think to stop and stare The trees die and flowers bloom As winter becomes spring We never know how many chances we have Tomorrow may never come Today is all we have Live like the sun We bring life to this Earth Shine bright as can be Light up a smile to a stranger Because once we become the moon There is only darkness There is no hope There is only death We no longer rotate There is no summer to fall Winter to spring Only bone to ash We become with the Earth There is no hope No tomorrow And no ticking the clock away So rise with the sun Before falling with the moon.
