So, I share this with a caveat on why I share it. Now, mind you, I of course have no scientific study to back this up - so call it a hypothesis. One I have no intention on following up on. First, I realize that this is TV and the most extreme examples are what will make the airwaves. It seems logical to presume that what is seen in the video is not the average response. I think what you see in the reaction of these children is a mix between how they are raised and the addictive properties of refined sugars - with the sugar taking most of the blame in most of the videos shown. I also know it is a slippery slope to say how they are raised as I am sure I would get a different reaction across my own 5 children. I really do think that refined sugars play a critical role in this. I believe that they cause an unnatural craving, which leads to an irrational response. We rarely have candy in our home, but more for the fact that it is a waste of money than any other reason. If the kids want something sweet Id rather buy them out-of-season greenhouse strawberries than candy - and you know what... theyd rather eat it. What do you think? https://youtube/watch?v=1NDkVx9AzSY
