So I wake up this morning to the news of the new diagnosis. I am both saddened and angry. It is ok for us to feel sad, disillusioned, disappointed, and even angry. There are NO wrong feelings- recognizing and working through your feelings is normal and healthy. The way we REACT to these feelings are what matter. My way of coping with all this is through this site. Seeing and feeling the support of others makes my anger less and my heart less heavy. It is more important now that we continue to be strong and support each other, our family, our coworkers, our friends, and ourselves. No one knows what really went on in that room with Mr Duncan, all of this is new to us. Just remember that at this point we can not change the past. We can not change whats been confirmed. All we can do is change our reactions. Again, I want to remind everyone that negative comments including blame will not be tolerated. We need to support each other not degrade each other. We all have questions and we all want answers. Frankly no one has them at this time. Every healthcare worker puts themselves at risk of catching ANY virus everyday. I want to thank everyone from physics and to environmental services for risking their lifes everyday. Lets go as a group this morning with the commitment of supporting each other with love and not anger. Keep your head up and arms open.
