So, ...I want to ferment my first jar of cabbage etc...I get a glass jar with plastic lid...sterilise....chop up the cabbage so it releases some of its juices add what other veg you like add some salt (how much?) and what else to start the ferment I do not know...I am also a little confused with the fermenting and the pickling ...can I add some organic apple cider vinigar or is then pickling and not fermenting? :)
