So I was asked by a friend, as a Christian, should I judge other people. I stated who am I to judge Im a sinner like everyone else. Then I paused and said. Lets go to scripture Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck that is in your brothers eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, Let me take the speck out of your eye, and behold, the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brothers eye. (Matthew 7:1-5 NASB) But in the same breathe I said if you are a Christian Im suppose to hold you accountable and lift you up. Im not to judge non-believers my God gots that, but my Christian brothers and sisters what am I suppose to do, so again I said, lets go to scripture Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their fruits. Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles? And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from M e, you who practice lawlessness. (Matthew 7:1-5, 15-23 NASB) So I summed it up by saying Im not judging, Im a fruit inspect. He asked then what do you say to so called Christians that surely dont act, talk or think the way God wants them to. I told him, I have to love them with grace, and love and the way I do that is to hold them accountable and not sugar coat it. I want to see all my friends and family in Heaven the thing is its not up to me Im still only a man. Im still a sinner that knows I need a savior, at the same time Im not going to back down from my faith to make someone feel comfortable or give a false gospel. Real recognize real, and when I stand before God Im only having to give an account of my life, so to all you people in Facebook land my question is simple, If you had to give an account on that last day are you ready, we can no longer depend on our good morals and deeds because they fall short. I urge you as spring hits dont just clean out all the material things but maybe clean out that sin in your life, that is holding you back from a real relationship with God. See when you sin as a Christian its cause at that moment of sin you wanted that sin more then following God. So basically you wanted to do it on your own. Im not judge please understand that, I am going to be one hell of a fruit inspector though. Love you, P.S this conversation all started cause one of my youth feels convicted to trust more on God and less on himself. God is not Dead!!!!
