So I was leaving Trader Joes today and wearing a jacket with purple in it. A Greenpeace volunteer stopped me and said, did you know that purple is a dolphins favorite color? It took every fiber of my being to not go into full Sheldon mode and say something like: Did you know that cetaceans are actually long wavelength monochromats that can only see in shades of red making your assumption that purple, which is in itself a non spectral color based on the lack of the color green, completely unsound? But I didnt, I just said thanks and walked past.
