So I was seen today regarding my health issue (vertigo)...The news is serious ,relatively an urgent matter....my symptoms are not due to an inner ear infection, rather that of the VP shunt I had surgically implanted in 2003. For those of you that dont know ...I have hydrocephalus ,along side IIH, which is Idiopathic Intercranial Hypertension...my symptoms have been getting more serious...vertigo, ear an head pressure, repeated vomiting, weakness. potentially life threatening..3 episodes in the past week and a half....yuck! so I was referred pretty urgently to my neurosurgeon...Im disappointed to say the least. Was told if these symtoms arise again to not hesitate and go to the hospital....So, I should be getting a call for an appt. to see the Neuro , within the next few days , if not ,by tomorrow....another trip to Sacramento, another CT...potentially another operation in the near future....but,atleast I know the source of the problem and will be getting treated ....
