So I was thinking about product development today...what day am I not doing this? :-) ...and I had a brain-fart! We usually think of getting a product out the door in the form of an MVP or Minimum Viable Product, right? This usually means the least amount of bells and whistles for your product to actually work (solve the problem for a user). BUT, Im starting to learn that an MVP is more about releasing something with just enough functionality to LEARN what you need to learn about your target market. Make sense? This is going to depend on your vision for the product. Will users actually use the app? If they use it, will they keep using it because of the reasons you thought they would? These are both things you need to LEARN...thats what an MVP is! If your app/product is built on an assumption about how or why your users will use the app, its best to build something that will test that theory, dont you think?
