So I was told at the parent-teacher conference this Friday, by his ES teacher, that the school psych completed the new FBA, and they didnt see any of the behaviors they found in his first FBA two years ago. He is actually improving and hasnt has any explosive outbursts or aggressive behaviors in school. I very strongly credit this to his teacher, Mrs. Miller. It is a GOOD thing, but I am worried that this might change things in his IEP. I KNOW the improvement is because of his teacher! They will be sending home a report this week. I have my fingers crossed that nothing will change. Next year the teacher could have the dont want to deal with it attitude and the behaviors will start all over again. Does anyone with a child getting IEP services, or if youre a teacher, know if this will change anything? He is making some progress on his IEP goals, but I know he hasnt completed any. We also got formal testing and confirmed diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (Aspergers if DSVM would have kept that dx), added dx of DMDD and ADHD by history.
