So I was working on another drawing but it turned into a vent drawing that I dont want to show. So Ill post this. A lot of people have asked What is it like living with depression? There are good phases, and there are very very bad awful phases. Rarely is there an inbetween. Being in a depression spike is like being hooked to a ball and chain in the bottom of the ocean. You cant breathe, you cant scream, but you keep trying to swim up and you just cant. Except, while youre down there, theres mermaids all around you breathing just fine. They look like you, they live like you, but they dont think like you do. They arent trapped like you are. Every now and then, a mermaid swims up and whispers, Just breathe idiot and for a few seconds, its really tempting. Breathe. Open your mouth. Let your lungs fill up with water and collapse. End it. Thats what it feels like to be in a depression spike.
